It's a top!
Orphan Heidi
40 x 60
I had a difficult time taking a photo yesterday because it was so cold and windy. This is another orphan quilt. One orphan block is mine and the rest came from other folks. For this quilt I chose fifteen 8 and 8.5 inch unfinished blocks. I framed them in different blue scraps so they finished at 12 inches. Then I made a column quilt with a blue multicolor fabric washing between the rows.
And sew on...

You do so well with orphan blocks, Cathy!! All the blue sashings really pull them all together beautifully..nice job!! Hugs, Julierose
Your clever setting sets the blocks off nicely.
You posted this just in time for me. I am putting together an orphan block quilt and I put a border around each block. But I needed to make it wider. I was going to put a border on each side, but I like your idea of in between the columns. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with the previous comments. You really do have a talent for using scraps.
Another awesome top done. You're on a roll, girl! I love this one. Simple yet it keeps the eye interested in every block. Stay warm! ;^)
