Table Topper
28 x 28
It's a finish!
I didn't make the top. I received it in a box with a couple of other unfinished projects in March 2024. I needed something to do in the evenings (otherwise I fall asleep the minute I sit down) so decided to big stitch hand quilt it and then bind it.
This is the backing so I guess it is reversible. It will go into the box of items I keep on hand for gifting. It will go nicely with those embroidered dish towels with chickens I made back in April.
And sew on...

I complain a lot about all the critters that wreak havoc in my gardens but they do sometimes leave something for me to eat.
The last week or so I've been eating snow peas...
...strawberries...
...and lots of salad greens.

Love those cool chicken, and the bac too! Such a fun TT! Yummy produce from your garden. Hope the critters don't destroy too much, they can be a pain!
I am a little jealous of your fresh fruit and veges! I hope we get something from our plants this year.
Log cabins and chickens...how fun. Your garden bounty looks great. Glad the critters left you some.

Nice table topper! I don't use them because the cat thinks then she has permission to sit on the table on it. Love the veggies. I planted hard neck garlic this year and got lots of garlic scapes. I made a stir fry and garlic scape pesto. I felt so farmer like, it felt good. Tasted even better!
Love your table topper, front and back! You've got some lovely veggies to eat as well. We got two cucumbers and maybe a dozen cherry tomatoes and we have 5 of the strongest most lush tomato plants with absolutely no blooms!!!!! Which means no tomatoes!
that is a perfect table topper!!! I love the chickens on it - maybe they would keep the pests out of your garden! Your strawberries look amazing1
