Some Stuff for Slow Stitching on Sunday or Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday...

Today I finished up the final five of forty-nine Dresdens and need to applique them to the gray background.  I made these all year as a Rainbow Scrap Challenge project. I will have one big quilt if I ever get it finished. The background squares are 13 inches.  The Dresden spokes are 4.5 inches.

I'm also behind on getting my circles appliqued to their backgrounds. I have Dec 7 (Kayla's Birthday) through Dec 25 made and ready to have the buttonhole stitching around them completed. I have the fabrics pulled for yesterday and today but no circles made yet.  I may take these to work and work on them during my lunch break.

And I still have 11 more blocks to quilt on my Vintage Spin.  I just accidentally sliced into the callous on my underneath finger so we shall see if I can still quilt without pain.

You have been so productive this year with so many interesting and fun blocks and quilts.

I am sorry that you have cut into your callous and I hope it doesn't stop you from quilting. The callous is a very important tool for hand quilters. ;)

I can't believe how many of these beautiful Dresdens you have finished - certainly will be a late quilt!
Love your split background for the circles, I'm not making a start on mine until the New Year.

I just love that you have ten million projects on the go at once- you are probably very organized, or maybe you're more like me and you've got projects piled up everywhere. I'm sewing off and on today, I'm enjoying it, and dreaming up future projects- I love your colorful approach to quilting.

I used to take stitching to work for lunch breaks, too -- something very calming about a mid-day fabric session.

Another post with lovely blocks. Your vintage spin reminds me of a quilt I made this year; ready to make another with that design. And I love the HST backgrounds of your circles.
