It's a top!
64 x 80
When I got it out of the project box this month I only had three rows made. This month I made 17 more rows.
I used 4.5 inch squares of old shirts and floral 2.5 inch squares for the corners.
I was inspired by this vintage quilt. I don't remember source of the photo.
And now I have emptied that project box and added one to the TBQ (to be quilted) pile.
And sew on...
There is something strange going on at the neighbor's house across the road. Looks like the skeletons are heading this way. Yikes!

I really like that zig-zag effect on these blocks--how neat!! Nice work Cathy!! Hugs, Julierose
I love this one, more yours than the original one. Maybe it's just the photocopy quality that doesn't work for me but anywho! I love yours. A lovely way to use the old shirt fabrics. Well done! Enjoy! ;^)
LOVE that design and your execution makes it even better. LOL re the skeletons (there are lots of them here, too - but yours are telling a story which makes it more fun).
now that is some Halloween decorating !! Those skeletons are not cheap I checked them out one year and decided I didn't want them that much after all.
I hadn't seen a layout like that with the elongated hexagon shape. I'm stalled on one made with stripes so maybe I'll try this layout. It looks like a little planning for the triangle corners is important and i like yours better than the antique.
I really like your vintage-inspired quilt! Your neighbor’s yard gave me a good chuckle. 🤣 Love a good sense of humor - life is tough, tis good to laugh ❤️

I read the previous comments. It looks like we all agree that your fabric selection is outstanding. I do like the other one, but I think yours is way above. We can thank the other maker for giving you the inspiration. Thanks for sharing the antics of your neighborhood skeletons. We have a few popping up around here too.
What a great way to use that elongated shape! It is also a great use of the shirt fabricS What a great top!!!! Well done!
What a great design, Cathy -- new to me. Thanks for the idea. (My shirt bin is overflowing.)
I think this is the Hatchet block I made some time ago but what a great layout. Isn't it wonderful how many different quilts we can make with the same blocks. Just moving things around. Clever you!
