It's a Finish! Backstories II

It's a finish!
Backstories II
60 x 80

It is called Backstories II because most of the pieces in this quilt came from quilt back trimmings. A few of the other pieces came from duplicate fabric strips sent to me by others.

I quilted it on my sewing machine with vertical lines of blue thread.  The binding consists of different blue pieces that came out of the leftover binding box.

I pieced the backing with two blue fabrics.

And sew on...

What a great name and "story" for this finish! Well done!

What a gorgeous solution to all those leftover trimmings from squaring up a quilt.

I finished a coins quilt a while back and always wondered what it would look like if the coin sets were oriented vertically instead of horizontally. This answers my question, lol. It's an interesting variation.

Happy New year to you! As always you offer such great scrappy inspiration. Love the backing scraps idea and could even see the same done with binding scraps. Hmm, might have to put that one into the rotation.....
