It's A Top! Orphan Delilah

It's a top!
Orphan Delilah
42 x 56

All of the 12 inch finished blocks were given to me by several folks over the years.

I just added 1.5 inch wide frames in black and white to each block and made a kiddo sized comfort quilt top.

I will be shipping out 6 quilts on Friday to the coordinator for Wrap-A-Smile and Quilts Beyond Borders. She will then get the quilts to where they are needed most. For significant cost savings on shipping I use PirateShip.com  it is easy to buy and print a mailing label and then drop package off at ups drop off.

And sew on...

I love zinnias. I save seeds from them every year and sow them in several spots. Once in awhile I may buy a seed packet for a type of zinnias I don't have. I like the big cactus flowered ones best. I also like the variegated ones the best. The butterflies like them all.

Delilah is such a fun quilt, Cathy! The dotted sashings tie everything together perfectly. Your zinnias are gorgeous! I'm finally having some success getting zinnias to grow in my garden from seed, but they aren't nearly as pretty as yours.

Delilah is a cheerful quilt and will surely make someone happy! You have a nice variety of zinnias. How nice to be able to sow them yourself.

As I recall you got all the way through the alphabet with your orphan names, so Delilah's been waiting for a while. Glad you can get her to a new home. Zinnia's are Zion's official flower and the Zinnia/Monarch festival is next weekend.

You do so well with orphan blocks, Cathy!! Delilah is really neat. I don't have many orphan blocks , but rather orphan small piece starts--I wonder how they could fit together perhaps???
Have a lovely upcoming weekend...hugs, Julierose

I like how you framed those blocks to look coordinated. Love the zinnias. Beautiful.
