A Small Finish

It's a finish!
36 x 45

5 inch squares...

...and a big star of stars...

...and some vertical line quilting.

And now it is ready for donation.

A few weeks ago the Wrap-A-Smile coordinator ( Ann) sent out a plea for 40-50 "smalls":

"Hope y’all can help! I’m still on the outlook for even more very small, very light-weight children’s quilts for WAS. During the past year I have received an amazing number of gorgeous, beautiful quilts but the majority have been larger and heavier. Rotaplast treats a variety of ages and they need me to pack a mix of sizes. Plus they have weight restrictions on the supply boxes that go by air for the medical missions.
I would love to receive 40-50 “smalls” (36 x 45-ish) by the end of the year. "...Ann

Finished a book! Every Bend in The River by Emerson Ford. Historical fiction inspired by the author's sixth great grandmother and the twists and turns in her life in colonial America during Revolutionary War times.

Yesterday I found my tin of little Dove chocolates hid from myself so I wouldn't see them and eat them all at once. I ate three of them and the little sayings inside were:
1. Don't let the hard days win.
2. Celebrate the luxury of being you.
3. Small steps can still walk miles. Go at your own pace.

I love this quilt! It's so simple, but the fun fabrics and the giant star really make it special.

I love the addition of the big star to shine brightly.
