It's A Top!

It's a top!
Bright Hopes
42 x 60

I acquired 32 six inch (finished) blocks and lots of pieces.   I know this block as Bright Hopes and there are several tutorials out there for it if you care to Google it.  I've made the blocks before so didn't need a tutorial.   Since there were a lot of pieces already cut I decided to make 38 more blocks. I did need to cut some black block centers and just a few more pieces to make the 38 blocks.

And now I have another top to add to the TBQ (To Be Quilted) mountain.

And sew on...

It is a bright one but so cheerful. Such a generous friend. Well done. ;^)

Like this quilt. The black centers are great, I do a lot of donation quilts. I will check this block out. Thanks for the inspiration.

Your Bright Hopes is very cheery! What size did you cut your strips? I made a crib sized Bright Hopes years ago and used 2" strips. Happy stitching!

Bright and cheery for sure! Someone will adore this quilt. Isn't that block a partial seam block? Doesn't matter to me- but some won't try it. Great finish, as usual!

You are whizzing right along - good for you and most excellent for those who will eventually receive those wonderful donation quilts.

Bright hopes, great name for the blocks of this cheery quilt. That pile of tops for quilting must be huge!

TBQ must indeed be a mountain with all the finishes you have been producing lately! Originally I used to read your blog on RSC links, and then you popped up here and there on the internet. Thzts when I realised you posted your prolific stitching results throughout the week, so I added you to my blog roll a while ago. I'm so glad I did as now I can keep up with all your work as you tick off yet another finish. You certainly are an inspiration.

You keep saying TBQ mountain, but I think that soon they will need a room of their own!

I'm only now sitting to catch up on reading blog posts and I see you've been very busy with the squares, also rectangles, especially in Bright Hopes but I'm always amazed at your tremendous results and lots of them!

The black center makes this shine! This block comes out way more uniform for me over the courthouse style, and makes the partial seam a very minor hassle.

What a great way to use those bright rectangles. Bright Hopes was one of the first times I encountered partial seams. I felt soooo accomplished. [
