Sixteen Patch Finish

It's a finish!

Sixteen Patch

63 x 84

Started December 2024.

10.5 inch blocks made with 4 inch width strips. I used plaids and florals. That combination reminds me of my grandmother's quilts made of old dresses, aprons, and shirts.

I quilted on the diagonals through the plaids.

The binding was floral and so was the backing.

And sew on...

Gorgeous - and what a perfect snowy backdrop. I agree about the combination of plaids and flowers - my grandmother always wore a flowery apron.

I really like the plaids and florals combo, Cathy!! Just a lovely finish --it does look like Grand-mere's aprons;))) Hugs, Julierose

Absolutely a gorgeous quilt! My grandmother always wore an apron when cooking. What a lovely memory you inspired. Jenny

I love the mix of plaids and flowers! Puzzled by the math however - if starting with 4" strips it would be a 14" finished block? Were they 3" strips?
