Hubby has been discharged! We are back in our Home Sweet Home once again and now we have a living room full of new stuff - oxygen machine with some really long tubing, oxygen tanks for when we leave home, nebulizer, walker, and a feeding pump/iv pole and new prescriptions. Hopefully within a few months all that stuff will be unnecessary except for the feeding tube/iv pole. Time will tell.
And what did I do for 12 hours a day in a hospital room? I kept an eye on healthcare workers, read 2.5 books and did a LOT of BIG stich hand quilting. In fact I did so much hand quilting that I am now about ready to add binding. More on that later. I did snack once in awhile on a diet of apples, bananas, granola, cheese, crackers, pretzels, Gatorade, iced tea and water. Must be a good diet for weight loss!

So pleased to hear your husband is back home and you now have the right equipment to hand. It will be a treat for you to cook yourself a proper meal. The big stitch project looks good. Take care of yourself, Cathy.

Cathy, I’m rejoicing that you and your husband are home from the hospital. Praying for his breathing… Hurray for more food options at home. (After BP went up and legs swole, I lived on primarily apples and coffee while with my husband during his Alaska hospitalization. So glad that’s over!)

Yay, for being home from the hospital. I can't wait to see the rose quilt finished. Roses are one of my favorite flowers, even though I no longer grow them. (The deer, you know).

I have been praying for you two and was getting a little anxious to hear from you. I am so glad you two are back in the comfort of your own home even though it might be a little crowded for now. I'm impressed and a little jealous that you got some big stitching done on a quilt. I have a really old jean quilt that I started and need to finish so I can get some big stitching done on it. That would be a nice thing to do while sitting by the fire this winter.
Glad you kept on eye on the health care workers- I am sure there was better care. You are wise. Sounds like a lot of extra work at home, but it must be a relief to be home. Prayers for your hubby to respond and heal up.
