This is the time of year when the Zinnias are the star of the flower garden- all different shapes, sizes, colors and varieties. Usually they are covered with butterflies but I have not seen as many this year as in past years. Not sure why. Maybe I am just not outside at the same time they are flying by.
I love Zinnias!

I never realized there is such a variety of zinnias. Lovely.
What gorgeous rich colors!
What a fabulously bright and cheerful display!
It is such a delight to wander through your zinnia garden. They are my favorite flower. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful!
I love zinnias too. They are so prolific and colorful all season.
I love zinnias in a cut bouquet, they last so long! Gorgeous pics.
OH me too! Zinnias in all their intense colorful glory! And I love the quilt in your last post too, also great colors!
Those are just beautiful, Cathy! I never realized how pretty zinnias could be until I saw the zinnia garden where my mom lives. Next year I'm going to plant some!
Really love looking at your garden.
They are beautiful!
Love your zinnias! I may have to try growing some next year! :)
I adore zinnias! I planted seeds for 4 kinds this year. They grew to 8" and the rabbits buzz sawed them down. They have never been as destructive as this year. If I would have known, I would have fenced the zinnias in as I love them until the frost. Tried every kind of spray, they think it is a condiment. Thank you for the gorgeous photos.
Every year I buy zinnia seeds and every year I never get them planted. The last two years I bought half flats of zinnias from the scouts, but they were a dwarf variety, and while they flowered prolifically, the stems were too short to use them as cut flowers. I did get one six pack of tall ones planted this year and they are blooming now.
