Quilty 365/6: Marginalia

Quilty 365

I started my circles November 4, 2015 and finished them November 3, 2016.  I used 4.5 inch HSTs  as the background, cut a circle  out of fabric that kind of  represented an event of the day, blanket stitched with embroidery thread around the circle and wrote in the margin something about the day.

Who knew what twists and turns life would take and who knew how colorful those daily events could be?

There's lots of gardening notes, notes about family health issues, notes about the price of gas each month, notes about depression and stress, notes about quilts made and books read.

It's a top

I need to decide how to quilt it now.  Actually, I need to find a backing first.

Each month of 2016 I enjoyed looking at all of the variations of the Quilty 365 project.   It's been awhile since there was a link up.  Audrey (the project brainchild who blogs at Quilty Folk) is now hosting the final Quilty 365 link up for finished quilt tops.  Oh, what fun!

I loved it as you were making it and I really love it all sewn together. What a terrific interpretation of the Quilty 365 idea!

Love, love, love how this turned out. I had thought about doing Quilty 365 but decided not too. Now, seeing yours, I think it is one I need to start. Terrific Job!

Fantastic! I'm loving that you used HST for the background squares; great idea. The journaling will be so appreciated in years to come.

I love your HST background for your circles. You've achieved a quilted diary with this creation, and a fun, cheerful looking one at that. Love it!

Your quilt top turned out wonderful! I really love that you appliqued onto HSTs and it's also a journal of sorts. I am sorry that I had decided not to participate. There are so many great versions. Congrats!

This is a beauty! I loved the way you split the squares along the diagonal when you first began this project but seeing them all in the quilt is a real pleasure!

I have always loved your take on the 365. I like how you kept it so personal, like a diary, and love how you have added the title in the circles at the top now. It's fantastic.
