Road to Lampasas
75 x 90
(Too long for the clothesline this way- I'll have to turn it sideways)
I used a vintage McCall's pattern ...
...and I used mostly 30's reproduction fabrics. (Sometimes other fabrics creep over into my 30s bin).
I used a scrappy binding.
I machine quilted it on my plain Jane Janome (DSM) with some four petaled flowers.
The quilt ended up with some nice texture...wrinkly, soft, cuddly.
The back is a purple gingham sheet from the thrift store.
This was my April goal (#41) for A Lovely Year of Finishes.
This was also a Q2 goal (#14) for the 2015 Finish Along.
And at the end of the month I'll link up with Julie's Binding Blitz.

Such a lovely fresh looking quilt. The vintage fabrics really fit well with the pattern.
Nice quilt. Nice finish. Love the title of your post.
Wonderful! Be sure to show Judy L. how her pattern turned out. The 30's fabrics (and friends) just shine. And thanks for the quilting closeups.
Oh, I forgot to mention: love the bedsheet backing!!
As always, I love it love it love it...that sheet is so perfect, gingham is the best, especially purple!
That is one of my favorite quilts you've ever done. it just looks so vintages and cuddly!! I have that same purple gingham sheet that I will be using on a queen quilt planned to be started in Q3 this year. What good taste we have!!
Oh and the spring breeze blowing through that beauty... fresh air and a new finish. Life is good.
Hugs

Love this quilt! Beautiful finish.
Marvelous finish and such pretty photos !
This is a very pretty quilt with lovely machine quilting. Congrats on your finish.
Such a beautiful quilt - it does look very "vintagey" with the pretty 30's repro fabrics in these blocks!

I'm curious to know if the original wasn't a quilt that was done by my late Great Aunt? If so her name should be on one of her labels (attached to the quilt), or signed.
