I've been making Little Monkey blocks for two years. Last year I had scraps enough for only 9 blocks. I don't think I'm going to add sashing between blocks so need quite a few for a bed sized quilt. Now I think I need to figure out exactly what number is "quite a few".
3 blocks plus. I want to make a quilt like a Vintage Butterfly one I saw at Nostalgic Cafe. (I think this block is actually called Beggar's Block). These blocks finish at 9 inches.
I've also been making 3 inch spools since last year and and want to make a bed sized quilt.
I just started making those Rail Fence variation blocks at top last week after I saw a vintage quilt that used them. And I made one orange postage stamp block which I think is all I need to begin to put together a quilt I have in mind.
Got Scraps?
Use them up and show them off each ScrapHappy Saturday.
There's so many fun things being made with scraps you'll want to make them all.

Wow! You have a lot of orange blocks done. Collecting them from year to year is a great way to chip away at the scrap collection. Beautiful!
I oiled at the blocks and the ones with the circles popped out, I thought they looked like fish! Lots of amazing work
What a great collection of orange. You've definitely been busy. The butterfly blocks with that background colour just glow.
Your use of color and prints continues to amaze me. I enlarge your pictures to thoroughly enjoy your collection of prints--the orange slices on blue is wonderful.
What a fabulous post with all those prints and shades and different blocks . . . awesome!
Oh wow! I love the sky blue with the oranges in your pictures. Now I have a feeling I know what to do with the rest of my teal fabric I used in my daughters quilt. Maybe a flowering snowball plan???
Oh there are those gorgeous butterflies again and in oranges--just scrumptious--as are all the other blocks--hugs, Julierose
I really like what you've done with orange and the mixes with other colours. Fun.
What a great collection of orange scraps! As always, I just love looking at everything!
You have really been blazing away at those oranges. "Quite a few" looks more like "lots and lots" from where I sit. LOL
You have made lots of pretty orange blocks.
Can't believe you have been so busy making all these lovely orange blocks.
What wonderful orange blocks! Working on RSC blocks for two or three years is a good way to accumulate enough blocks for quilts.
I love all of your oranges!! you have such great ideas!
