Black, White and One Other Color

Last year I participated in a 12 inch block swap. We each made blocks of our choice to swap using only black, white and one other color of our choice. I received 13 blocks and added 7 of my own for a 20 block quilt. The blocks have been sitting in a UFO pile so I dug them out and added sashing this weekend. I still need to add the same sashing to the top, bottom and sides but at least now the blocks are out of the UFO pile and almost in the flimsy pile. I think the black and white sashing really tied all of the blocks together.

To see what others are working on visit Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times. There's sure a lot of talent and inspiration out there!

What a fun collection of blocks! The black and white striped sashing and 9-patch corner-stones are perfect for this quilt!

Great finish. So bright and colorful. Thanks for sharing this. I am working on some UFO's too. My challenge is one a month. Not sure I am gonna make it this month. Maybe next.
Have a wonderful day,

I love the colors in this quilt..very pretty. I really like your blog. I love the happy block quilts you do...oh I sit here the other night and went trough the whole blog. You do a great job and inspire me. I fell in love with your jar block potholders. Could you please tell me what size the square is for the jar? I made one with a 5 1/2 square for my jar and it came out too big for a potholder...or maybe my borders where too big..anyway you have a great blog.
