Interweave Finish

Interweave
It's a finish!
42 x 56

Interweave is a free pattern by Marlous Carter. I adapted the pattern a little.

The quilt actually started with the backing. Awhile ago someone gave me this fabric. I don't recognize many designer's fabrics but I did happen to recognize those horses as Laurel Burch's. Her animals are distinctive. I had a few of her very colorful cat prints back when I collected cat prints.   I didn't want to cut up the horses so I set it aside for a backing for a kiddo quilt.   The colors/fabrics on the front of the quilt were inspired by the horses.

I quilted it on my DSM with vertical squiggly lines in a brown thread. It was bound in dark green.

The pieced back. I had set aside a mottled brown fabric that kind of matched the horses to use instead of the dark green but I must have used it in something else.

Now it will go into a box of donation quilts more than likely to go to Quilts Beyond Borders when full.

And sew on...

  9. The "woven" design is so effective. The backing fabric is perfect.
