Monkey Wrench Finish

Monkey Wrench
40 x 60
It's a finish!

10 inch Monkey Wrench blocks in greens.  I was sewing up some odds and ends of different sizes of HSTs and found matching sets of four green HSTs so that was a spark for the quilt.

Quilted in swirls on my DSM.

The backing. The binding is scrappy greens -- binding pieces left over from other quilts.

I almost didn't want to part with the backing so full of butterflies.

This will probably go to Quilts Beyond Borders when I have a full box.

And sew on...

  4. I like the "chunkiness" of the monkey wrench blocks together. It reminds me that I have a bunch from another quilt I started that I wasn't happy with. Maybe I can fill in that one and donate it.

  6. Monkey Wrenches in green are so pretty and then you used one of my all time favorite green/butterfly prints for the back. I think I still have a small piece of that fabric in my floral stash.

  9. Gosh Cathy I'm really having trouble keeping up with your beautiful finishes! Cool green fabrics in the Monkey Wrench and it's good to see Interweave, one I'd like to make I think.
