All Creatures Great and Small Hexies
November finishes
I work on hexies off and on when a small project is called for which has been the last couple of weeks. I haven't felt like getting a quilt basted so I can get it in the hoop for hand quilting. Maybe today is the day.
And that makes 62. I guess I'll make them until I run out of creatures great and small.
I need to get back to my hexies one day but right now I will try to finish up one donation quilt this week already started and work on some little wool Christmas decoration besides my hand quilting - I think all else will be put on hold for awhile
ReplyDeleteI love your project you are working on... don't force yourself to quilt... but you will be happy to have the projects basted and in your hoop once you get it there I bet.. I usually am glad for all that effort to put in my frame when it grows empty! lol

You have lots of animal fabrics--this is a great way to show them off.
ReplyDeleteCute theme for a quilt. Are the hexies and stars going to be in the same quilt? I love how they are looking!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I will ever get back to my hexagons--my hands complain with all that stitching--yours are just so cute..love that animal theme hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute way to make an I Spy quilt. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try hexies, but I love this theme.
ReplyDeleteWell, given how extensive and eclectic your stash is, you may never run out of creatures great and small... (Which is not a bad thing. I'll always be happy to come here and admire your newest hexies!)
ReplyDeleteWhat cute hexies! You have quite a selection of animal fabrics. That looks like a fun quilt to work on. I love basting hexies but don't like sewing them together once they are basted. It would probably help if I had something special in mind to make with them. Are yours going to be a quilt or do you also make smaller items?
ReplyDeleteYour hexies are amazingly beautiful! You're inspiring to go back to my Grandmother's Flower Garden and get 'er done! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove all your creatures fabrics. The sausage dogs are lovely - my friend Ruth would love those, she has a dachshund, has always had one since she was a girl at home.
ReplyDeleteFun project--some lucky kid is going to love it!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting police require a minimum two to one ratio of cats to dogs in all quilts. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you never run out of creatures great and small! Love these blocks!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun fabrics - they will make a wonderful 'I Spy' quilt.
