These are 20 inch Rising Sun blocks. I haven't added the corners yet. I just put some fabrics behind the blocks in order to take pics and see how some fabrics look. I'm not sure I have enough boho-ish fabrics to complete 16 blocks so I'm making the circles first and will add the background corners after that. The fabric in the middle will be fussy cut from Bohemian Rooster fabric by Susan Winget. I've had a piece of it for a very long time and didn't know what to do with it. Now I know. The rays will all be yellow fabrics. The circle backgrounds will be ???? and hopefully kind of boho-ish or rooster-ish. I don't usually pull all fabrics for a quilt before I begin it.
This is another pieced pattern from Kathy Doughty's book Making Quilts.
