This week I processed the blue scraps left over from the blue scraps I used to make the Kid Row top.
With scraps I've been making Monkey Wrench blocks in three different sizes. These happen to finish at 7.5 inches.
Monkey Wrench
7.5 inches
Switch Plate blocks that finish at 3 x 5 inches.
Snowball blocks that finish at 3 inches. Eventually these will alternate with light corner 3 inch Nine Patches that were swapped long ago.
Some 1.5, 3 and 3.5 inch strips for future Chinese Coin quilts. I have quite the collection of these now so I really should make a couple of quilts one of these days.
And a few 3.5 inch squares for the Parts Department.
And sew on...
Monkey Wrench is such a fun block.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good selection of BLUE scrappy sewing, Cathy!
ReplyDeletea big variety of blue for sure!
ReplyDeleteAnd every blue scrap was used! Looking forward to seeing what Coin Quilts you make from your strips.
ReplyDeletePretty blue scraps! I'm liking the switch plate blocks these days - and I have lots of 1.5 inch strips. That would be a good use for those!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a collection of blue blocks you have assembled or planned. Impressive!
ReplyDeleteThe blues work so well together no matter what block they are in. Super collection of block parts.
ReplyDeleteBlues never fail! Pretty blocks.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun blues!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing blue scrappy fun! I am slow this month to dig into the blue scraps - so much going on that is distracting me!
ReplyDeleteLove your blues. I just realized why I have been missing so many of your posts. I didn't know that follow it had more than one blog on each listing. I read Something Rose Made and then saw your post and figured it out. I'm a little slow but sure! I will be more careful next time I open up follow it.
ReplyDeleteSuch good use of your blue scraps. I really like how those Monkey Wrench blocks look together. I really need to dig into my blue scraps one more time this week because that bin is overflowing again.
