Roses in December: Geese in the Roses

It's a finish!
Geese in the Roses
60 x 69

I used lots of rose print scraps in this one.

I quilted it on my DSM with a pink variegated thread. I wanted to try a rose motif but figured it would not be worth the trouble of trying something new on these busy fabrics. Instead I went with my three petaled flower for the quilting.

This is the backing.

With this one I can check another UFO off the list.

  5. Such a lovely quilt! I have always wanted to try and make an all geese quilt, but I don't want to make geese that all need trimming. The fabrics looks so wonderful together.

  7. Oh I love this one! I love Flying Geese but never really made them - fear I think? What method do you use to make Flying Geese? I think all the variations have scared me off.

  10. My grandma raised geese and roses, and as I recall she was usually trying to keep them apart... Little did she know what a wonderful combination they'd make!
