What's in the Hoop?

 I've been hand quilting my Love at First Sight log cabin cabin quilt. 
I've been big stitching with perle #12 and perle #8 that I had on hand in red, white and black. The log cabins consist of lots of red, white and black 1 inch width scraps sewn around a little 3 inch nine patch. I've been quilting down the center of the strips and quilting an X in the white squares of the nine patches. I would say I may have finished quilting half of the 74 x 82 inch quilt.

    Beautiful!! It gives me another idea for my Tiny Nines. Because... All these years later, I still haven't decided what I will do with them!!

    How fun to see what is in your hoop today! The photo is "love at first sight"!!! Total swoon seeing the fun quilt, and all your tools ready to stitch!
    I really must try the perle quilting... I have the threads... just need to decide on a project and baste it.

    How clever of you to put nine-patches in the center. They work well with your narrow logs. I love your value division, too. Red and black/red and white. Yummy!

    I really like the look of your red, white and black log cabin. Log cabins are one of my favorite designs and I need one in those colors. Am looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.
