It's a Finish! Blue Skies and Butterflies

 Blue Skies and Butterflies
64 x 80

It's a finish!

I started making these in 2015 to use waste triangles to make butterflies ...
...and a variety of blue 2.5 inch scraps for the sky.

I used a variegated thread...

...to quilt flowers and leaves on my DSM.

There's more butterflies on the back.

  2. I think I had that butterfly fabric at one time and used it for a back of a quilt and for some fussy cutting - nice quilt!

  9. I LOVE this! I have tons of blue "chunks" and have been wondering what to do with them. I had already done a two color quilt using the blues and while it was nice it just didn't "do it" for me. These bits of color are perfect. I think I will do another blue quilt! Thanks for the inspiration!

  19. Flitter, flutter -- a charming result! I think "bonus unit" is more appropriate than "waste triangle" -- especially for you.
