It's a Flimsy! School of Fish

 School of Fish
40 x 60
It's a flimsy!

So...I'm really a slob. It takes me awhile to put fabric and scraps away. My cutting mat usually has about a two inch square of space left on it before any organization happens. I had gray scraps leftover from Blue Collar Work next to some school themed fabrics leftover from making a few school themed Happy Blocks.    And I just finished making some small crumb fish blocks so fish was on my brain.   And our brains work in mysterious ways...so School of Fish happened.

  1. As always, you have great scraps. Fancy having a collection of "school" fabrics and then using a play on words to turn them into a delightful School of Fish quilt! Another great idea!

  3. Adorable quilt, and so witty to use school fabrics for a school of fish!

  4. Don't think of it as being a slob, think of it as being efficient: you create scraps as part of project A in order to facilitate creating project B. It wastes time to put the scraps away to do project C first. See? Efficient use of time and space. Corporate consultants charge the big bucks to streamline processes like this, and you're a natural!

Very cute flimsy. I saw the photo on Sunshine first and thought, "Cathy always puts a twist in her quilts, there has to be a pun in here somewhere..." :)

  6. Ha! I love it!
And I agree with Louise - putting stuff away is a waste of time and energy. So much more efficient to keep everything handy! (I'm really coming around to this point of view as I've spent way too much time lately trying to organize and put away...)
