Gone Quilting: What's In the Hoop and on the Sewing Machine?

Pumpkin Peel is in the hoop.
If I remember correctly this is 80 x 80.
Hand quilting with perle #8.

Burgoyne Surrounded is being quilted on the sewing machine.  Today will be day 3 of being surrounded by Burgoyne Surrounded while quilting.  It's a BIG quilt.  I think it's 93 x 93.  I have to take lots of breaks.

  3. Your Pumpkin Peel is fabulous! I'm so happy you're hand-quilting it - it deserves that finish! (Eventually I'm going to make one of these, too. That book is burning a hole in my bookshelf!)
I'm really curious how you're quilting your BS. So many possibilities! Rings, diagonals, fans - decisions, decisions, decisions...

  4. I hadn't realized until now how much fun it would be to quilt one of your quilts and visit all of those wonderful fabrics. (No, this is not an offer...)

  5. Wow, you are in the middle of quilting two big projects. Nice to be able to alternate hand stitching and machine sewing. They look fabulous.

  11. I'm amazed to see you working on 2 major projects at the same time. But, you probably do this all the time and we just can't see it happening. I especially need to make a Burgoyne Surrounded quilt soon, but not before I finish at least one of my quilts. Yours are both looking really good.

  12. You are swimming in the Burgoyne Sea, floating gently along...at least I hope you're gently floating. I know sometimes the middle of those big quilts can feel more like alligator wrasslin' under the needle of a domestic machine!
