Pumpkin Peel is in the hoop.
If I remember correctly this is 80 x 80.
Hand quilting with perle #8.
Burgoyne Surrounded is being quilted on the sewing machine. Today will be day 3 of being surrounded by Burgoyne Surrounded while quilting. It's a BIG quilt. I think it's 93 x 93. I have to take lots of breaks.
glad to see you are doing Pumpkin Peel in the hoop I had hoped you would be hand quilting that one!
ReplyDeleteboth of these are lovely! I like seeing the quilting pics :D
ReplyDeleteYour Pumpkin Peel is fabulous! I'm so happy you're hand-quilting it - it deserves that finish! (Eventually I'm going to make one of these, too. That book is burning a hole in my bookshelf!)
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious how you're quilting your BS. So many possibilities! Rings, diagonals, fans - decisions, decisions, decisions...
I hadn't realized until now how much fun it would be to quilt one of your quilts and visit all of those wonderful fabrics. (No, this is not an offer...)
ReplyDeleteWow, you are in the middle of quilting two big projects. Nice to be able to alternate hand stitching and machine sewing. They look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI admire you quilting such a big quilt on your domestic machine. That's a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteLots of wonderful forward progress!
ReplyDeleteNice planning for getting both projects quilted! ---"Love"
ReplyDeletePhoto #1 looks way more fun and relaxing :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your pumpkin peel fabrics and the quilting. Can't wait to see it off the hoop!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed to see you working on 2 major projects at the same time. But, you probably do this all the time and we just can't see it happening. I especially need to make a Burgoyne Surrounded quilt soon, but not before I finish at least one of my quilts. Yours are both looking really good.
ReplyDeleteYou are swimming in the Burgoyne Sea, floating gently along...at least I hope you're gently floating. I know sometimes the middle of those big quilts can feel more like alligator wrasslin' under the needle of a domestic machine!
ReplyDeleteYou will feel so chuffed with yourself when all that quilting is done though. Definitely big quilts!! Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.
ReplyDeleteGosh the Burgoyne Surround is a heck of a big quilt to work on a domestic machine, good for you!!
ReplyDeleteLots of quilty goodness! Yes your Burgoyne is swamping your machine but it will be so worth it..that's sure is a big quilt to be doing on a domestic. Have fun :-)
ReplyDeleteKeep going! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see the in-action shot of you quilting a big quilt yourself. Your Bygonne Surrounded is a beautiful version of this pattern.
