Christmas Happies
Happy Christmas
58.5 x 65
A few weeks ago I found 56 of them in a Christmas project box and then made 34 more. The 56 blocks were old ones swapped long long ago.
This year I'm trying to clear out a lot of old holiday fabrics and projects - a self imposed Holiday Cheer Challenge.
I'm thinking I'll piece a backing for this from all the miscellaneous bits and pieces in that Christmas project box.
Wonder Woman strikes again. When did you find time to piece 34 extra Happy Blocks, let alone sew them and the other 56 into a quilt???? I think I need a lie down, I feel exhausted thinking about all that sewing!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Your Holiday Cheer Challenge is a very good idea.
ReplyDeleteThere's lots of pretty Christmas fabric in those blocks. The quilt is beautiful! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it--you manage to put all kinds of fabrics together and....VOILA!! A lovely quilt emerges...beautiful hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteA great way to use up Christmas fabric and get a beautiful quilt. Love this simple block, a great way to use multiple larger scale prints. And works well with a limited palette too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another wonderful finish!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a lovely top. How nice to get these older fabrics used up and moved out.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is perfect! So colorful and jolly.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Nothing says Christmas like red and green. And it says it so loudly that you might as well embrace it fully and make a totally scrappy, wild and wonderful over the top Christmassy quilt like this one!
ReplyDeleteI think it's GREAT that you are so prolific :)
I love these!
