More from the green 2.5 inch scraps.
You call them lozenges. I call them bitter pills. At least I'm not calling them suppositories but I do consider them a pain in the patooty to make. Well, not exactly pain...just plain boring to make. But I can attest... they do use up scraps.
The size I'm making is 2 x 4.5 finished.
I probably have at least 500 of them by now. I should figure out how the size of quilt I want to make with these.
Got Scraps?
Use them up and show off each week at the ScrapHappy Linky Party.
Next month's RSC color is blue (light and happy).
You're cracking me up!
ReplyDeleteWhat great variety in your green fabrics. Such fun little "lozenges".
ReplyDeleteThe title of this post is so funny. I thought you were sick, lol. I love your use of all those greens.
ReplyDeleteI used this method to add the saw tooth border to my cogwheel quilt and thought the same thing was so glad I didn't join Bonnie in this one. Loving the simple squares I am working on now!
ReplyDeleteVery funny!! they do take time (ask me how I know this?) My Geisha projects is all lozenges--or the dreaded "S'S"!! LOL hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteActually they green ones look like leaves. It's really just a skinny snowball block... how hard is that?
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying looking at them... no problem with that.
Hugs
Could you do some of them as leaders/enders? That would break up the tedium. Whatever, they look terrific. But....with 500 of them already, you will no doubt have at least 5 quilts, and then you'll be moaning that putting them together is a pain. LOL
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are suffering from a little 'greenitis', so perhaps a touch of red or pink would fix you up in no time.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I like the idea of a suppository quilt!
ReplyDeleteHaha--I have a pile of them too and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will all go together in the end!
ReplyDeleteThey are pills to sew, aren't they? Not quite as bitter as the real pills I'm taking lately -- maybe I can use that comparison to summon up some more enthusiasm for my own lozenges! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou've got more stamina than I to keep making those bitter pills when you have so many already! I would find them tedious too. Might be time to see what you can do with them; you may have a king size top without even realizing it!
ReplyDeletea great use of scraps, and you'll have lots of fun designing with them!
ReplyDeleteI called my lozenges and did them in a power-stitching, chain-piecing mode (mindless stitching format) . . . and they were still a bit of a bore. HOWEVER, they do make for a lovely quilt so hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLOL! You crack me up. Great post.
