It's Finished!!
Pickle Dish
67 x 67
A Wedding Quilt
For the Hope Chest of my Granddaughter, Kayla, age 10
Hand Quilted
I enjoyed every minute of making this. It's an old friend.
I hope I'm around when my granddaughter gets married and receives this quilt. But, if not, I'll be there in spirit.
This is my second wedding quilt for one of the grandchildren. The first was a Double Wedding Ring for Isabelle. Now I need to work on my Jack's Chain quilt - a wedding quilt for my grandson, Jacob.
Words cannot describe how much I love this quilt. The colors. The hand stitching. The love behind it. What a truly beautiful piece of art. For me, this is what quilting is all about. Congratulations on a gorgeous finish!
ReplyDeleteDitto what Tracy said. Love that quilt.

Beautiful quilt and beautiful thoughts! Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteOh how this sparkles! I hope to start my in about week!
ReplyDeleteWow, this turned out beautifully. The quilt seems so happy and full of JOY - perfect as a wedding gift! I also love your finished wonky log cabin. I decided to switch my main RSC project from the star pattern to a scrappy log cabin, and I am much happier.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt with a wonderful future.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty. Outstanding! Congrats to your granddaughter on her upcoming nuptials although I think 10 is a bit young. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I love your color choices, and your grand daughter will too, but probably more because you made it. Such a kind thought!
ReplyDeleteWowzy....that is one colorful quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful riot of colour - one very lucky grand-daughter!
ReplyDeleteWhat a riot of gorgeous color / congrats on this finish!
ReplyDeleteOutside here we have some snow and grey skies ...seeing these brilliant hues this morning is quite the contrast!
Love it.
