Quilts At Work With Kids Around The World

Some comfort quilts with kids that I have spotted that I have made and donated to

Wrap-A-Smile is a partner of Rotaplast International, Inc.  "Rotaplast International, Inc. is committed to helping children and families worldwide by eliminating the burden of cleft lip and/or palate, burn scarring, and other deformities. Working with local professionals, Rotarians, and other organizations, Rotaplast sends multidisciplinary medical teams to provide free reconstructive surgery, ancillary treatment, and training for the comprehensive care of these children." Wrap-A-Smile provides each child undergoing surgery with a quilt.

Quilts Beyond Borders  has several different initiatives both foreign and domestic that provides children with quilts.

The one on the left ended up...

...with a young girl in Medallin, Columbia.

This little one in Arusha, Tanzania...

...now owns this quilt.

This crumb Bear Paw quilt...

...went to a little girl in an orphanage in Ethiopia.

Other children in the orphanage with their quilts.

A girl in Cumana, Venezuela...

...is covered with this quilt.

In Myanmar (formerly Burma) a quilt covers a little one in surgery...

...and after surgery.

I caught enough glimpses of this quilt to know...

...it was this one I made.

The child second from left at New Hope orphanage in Uganda owns a quilt I made.

Crumb Stars.
