It's a finish!
Orphan Heidi
40 x 60
Heidi is full of 8 and 8.5 inch unfinished blocks I framed in blue scraps so they all became 12.5 inch unfinished blocks.
T
I arranged the blocks in columns with a blue multicolor sashing in between columns.
I quilted it on my sewing machine with swirls of blue.
The back and scrappy blue binding.
And sew on...

I meant to post about this quilt on Monday; however, I have spent most of the last several days sleeping. I came down with some kind of illness that caused dizziness, vomiting bile, headache, sensitivity to light and extreme exhaustion. I'm rarely ill, thank goodness. I had to make myself better yesterday afternoon so I could take hubby to get a CT scan so maybe they can figure out the cause of his jaw pain now that the antibiotic caused the swelling to go down. I hate seeing him in such pain. I think the extreme anxiety caused by several things going on in my life right now that are a cause of constant worry as well as dehydration and pushing myself too hard might have been the cause of my bout of illness. I need to stop worrying and go sew and sow!
Sorry to hear of you illness. I hope that you getting better and taking care of yourself along with your hubby. Thanks for sharing and all that you do.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better--perhaps you could take it a bit easier for a while now and rest, too...Orphan Heidi came out very nicely

I hope you are feeling better - it is tick season have you been bit? I'm sure you would notice by now I'm late getting to blog reading lately - I just ask about a tick as my husband had some of those symptoms a couple years ago and it was early Lyme and he was treated with antibiotics and got well quickly
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, you need to go and sew and sow. It'll do you good. I hope you are well soon. Consider yourself hugged. ๐งก๐ ;^)

ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed at all you do. This is a wonderful quilt, and I am sure it will be well loved. I'm glad that you have your quilting and sewing because it seems a source of strength and peace for you in the face of your husband's serious health worries. Joining others in hoping that you will try to rest and take good care of yourself.

I hope you are feeling better. That dizzy bit makes it hard to do much even with all the other symptoms! I too amazed at all you accomplish while carrying all that you do. Heidi is quilted perfectly!
