Courthouse Steps - A Complete Block Set

Courthouse Steps
10.5 inch finished
Made from 2 inch width scraps

Back in December I noticed I had a lot of brown 2 inch width scraps. I decided to make 35 Courthouse Steps blocks. I actually had enough brown pieces 2 inches in width and didn't need to cut any pieces from scrap chunks.  I did have to cut up some neutral scrap chunks for the alternate to the browns.

Today I finished all the rounds on all 35 blocks so now I have a complete block set. I may or may not get these assembled into a top this month.

The Feb. theme in my sewing space to move UFOs forward is "Log Cabin". That includes all variations like these Courthouse Steps blocks.

And sew on...

  7. Nice job of using those 2" brown strips... are there more browns left or perhaps a different color.... I'm impressed with how much you get done on a regular basis.
