This is the first of twelve twenty-four inch blocks...
...of a quilt I am calling Fairlawn Roses. The pattern comes from the book Making Quilts by Kathy Doughty. She calls it Fairlawn and I added Roses to the name of mine because I am using all rose prints to make my quilt.
I have made 576 - 2.5 inch HSTs.
I was kind of limited as to what to use for sashings. I was thinking I would just make all of my blocks and figure that out later; however, when I started making my blocks I could see that I needed to decide sooner rather than later.
And sew on...

ReplyDeleteA fabulous beginning! I've admired that pattern for several years, maybe I'll get the courage to start one if I can just get a couple albatross projects finally done and dusted.
ReplyDeleteI know you have a lot of rose fabrics, but so you need any more. I have quite a few and would be happy to share.
ReplyDeleteWe had some wet snow today, about 3" after it settled.
