Scrap Processing

Crossroads

7 x 9

Made with 3.5 x 4.5 inch rectangles cut from either 3.5 or 4.5 inch width scraps that are long enough. All have brown 1.5 inch width brown washing with red square centers.

I started with purple scraps because that is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) color of the month. Then I sewed together the orange blocks I cut last month.

Then I sewed together other colors I have cut while scrap processing.

I have been making these for awhile and probably have enough now for at least a couple of comfort quilts. I will keep making them from scraps until year end and then put them together into tops.

Buckeye Beauty
8 inch
Made with 2.5 and 4.5 inch width scraps.

I first worked with the orange pieces I cut last month but never got sewn together.

Then I worked with the purple scraps to make blocks.

Bricks and Stones
2.5 x 4 inch bricks and 2.5 inch square black stones.

I cut smaller lengths of 2.5 inch width scraps into various lengths.

2.5 x 5 for future "Charm Tuesday". It's a free pattern.

2.5 x 1.5 rectangles for Potato Chip blocks. 2.5 x 3.5 inch rectangles for a quilt I have in mind of just rectangles. 2.5 inch squares for who knows what.

And sew on...

  5. That's a LOT of sewing! Love the pineapple on purple and many other prints. Other quilters' scrap always look more fun than mine. Charm Tuesday looks like something I could kit for a baby quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on that one. Enjoy! ;^)

  8. Both you and Nancy are tempting me with those crossroad blocks . . . Glad you've come up with a workaround to post to your blog while you wait for the new computer.
