Batik Bazaar Finished !

Batik Bazaar
72 x 96
It's a finish!

The centers of these blocks, framed four patches, were leftovers from a long ago swap.  The Massachusetts block calls for an 8.5 inch center so I used a framed four patch instead.

I quilted it on my sewing machine with vertical lines in a variegated green thread.

The backing is a floral on black and the binding is a woven look black.

My theme to move UFOs forward this month in the sewing space is "Oldies and Biggies" and this one fits both categories.

And sew on...

  2. This is a graphic beauty! Any block with lines of marching triangles is good and this one is spectacular.

  6. A dramatic quilt, I love it. The bold lines, the black, and the batiks all work so well together.

  9. very pretty - like those colors. I have read that book and liked it too I like all of his books except the series called the Camel Club never cared for those. I loved his old stand alone books from I think the 1990's

  11. What a stunning quilt! Wow! One can't go wrong with Batik and black. Straight lines is perfect quilting as it doesn't change those graphic blocks. I love Quilter's Cache too. Enjoy! ;^)

  16. Beautiful colors and a very cute quilt but after looking at the pattern at Quilter's Cache there is no way I would have made this quilt. Their diagrams and coloring were so boring I would not have been inspired at all, and especially not with all of those HSTs either. You have great "vision".
