It's a top!
Lacy Heart
39 x 42
I do love heart quilts and found a larger version of this one on Pinterest called Heather's Lacy Heart. with notes on making a smaller version.
I was able to use a baggie of 3.5 inch lime squares that was given to me. I dug the dark purple with little butterflies I used in the nine patches out of the quilt back trimmings box. I hemmed and hawed for a long time about what color and fabric I could use to make nine patches that would look okay with the lime green.
I might have to make a larger version of this one. I do like heart quilts (and rose themed prints).
And sew on...
The purple and lime look great together. This would be a sweet baby quilt.

Pretty purple heart, and a nice sentiment for a donation quilt! Lime green and purple are perfect together. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great-looking quilt. I wouldn't have thought of putting lime with purple but they are playing so well together. Great job once again. ;^)
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat,I luv how just the simple arranging if the blocks form a heart
ReplyDeleteI might need to go check out the link you shared - and of course I adore lime green (I remember a blogger from years ago who titled her blog "Lime Green is a Neutral" - I couldn't agree more). Sending virtual roses and hearts (and hugs) your way . . .
ReplyDeletePerfection! Love the lime green and the purple nine patches. What a great pattern!
ReplyDeleteMost unusual design. Not seen one like this before. The lime and purple complement each other very well.
ReplyDeleteA very clever pattern and I like your version of it!
ReplyDeletePurple is perfect with that lime green! (Purple is often perfect!)
ReplyDeleteAnd oh! oh! A heart full of roses would make a lovely quilt!
