A few years ago I made over 300 three inch Economy Blocks from scraps as a Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) project. Now I'm making several different quilts using those Economy Blocks.
For this quilt I used mostly the floral Economy Blocks and I'm using more scraps to turn them into Stars.
Interesting idea …but so small! Great idea and great way to use scraps.
ReplyDeleteSo creative! I just love all your ideas!!!
ReplyDeleteOOOOh - what a great way to transform those economy blocks! Usually I like high contrast best, but I really do like those blocks using the black with the blue. Striking!
ReplyDeleteGreat stars. They look so fancy with the center "on point".
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching :-)
Wow! Great way to repurpose those economy blocks. They look great, and with so many to choose from I'm sure it will be fun to pick out new ones for block centers. Great project!
ReplyDeleteVery good way to use your stash of Economy blocks. They make great centres for your stars.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there will ever be an end to scraps lol luv how you transformed one block to make another
ReplyDeleteEconomy stars! With 300 of those little blocks to deal with, I wonder what other ideas you will come up with.
ReplyDeletePretty blues! Great idea to turn the economy blocks into star blocks. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteEffective way to change up the stars by matching the points to the outside of Economies… or not. It’s unique and interesting. Great job again.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed as always!
ReplyDeleteLove these stars - especially with their blue backgrounds!
ReplyDeleteLove those blues! This is my kind of quilt.
