Wiggle Time
It's a finish!
48 x 54
Someone gave me a coordinated set of four fat quarters and I added the fifth This is a quick and easy make and I can see many variations of this quilt in my future made from scraps.
I usually don't have many yard lengths of fabric to use for backgrounds but I just happened to have enough of this green tone on tone fabric left over from a backing I used on another quilt quite some time ago.
You can't really see it unless you get close but there are what look like dandelions that have been wished upon. So, staying with a floral type theme I quilted in leaves on branches in green. Maybe I should call the quilt Leafy Greens. But I don't usually name quilts I give away.
And added green binding.
And I added a wonderland backing.
And now it is ready to comfort someone.
And sew on...
Great quilt! It's so unusual to see a non-scrappy quilt on your blog! I have made that pattern too, and expect to do so again in the future. I love your backing panel!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt - very dramatic with the dark green background. The backing fabric is beautiful! Being a nerd I have tried to decide which is the fat quarter you added and I think it’s the second row down with a bit of pink in the fabric. Am I right? Leafy Greens sounds very apt.
ReplyDeleteJust how neat is this quilt--loving that backing--sooo pretty nice work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love Cynthia's pattern and your colors work together so nicely.
ReplyDeleteSo completely wonderful! Love that deep green background and that wonderland backing is fabulous. Really nice quilting, too.
