Animal Crackers

It's a new top!
Animal Crackers
42 x 54

I used animal themed fabrics and solids to make six inch (finished) H blocks.

While I had the fabrics out and was cutting 2.5 inch strips I cut extra strips for use in a different block.  You will have to wait to see what that one is. Now that it's cooler again I will be out in the garden more often and I'm now the learning coach for my granddaughter who opted for online learning. That was a good choice for her because she can use the one on one time and she can avoid all the drama that seems to surround her at school. I have the time so volunteered to help out.

  9. How did you find time to make this flimsy? Generous of you to volunteer to help your granddaughter with online schooling. Hope it all goes well. Children’s education is such a worry during this pandemic. Enjoy your one on one time with her.

  10. Animal crackers in my soup...I always wondered about that song. Who puts cookies in soup? The crackers must have been savory instead of sweet when the song was written. Your scrappy top is sweet AND savory :)

  14. You just keep turning out quilts! I enjoy seeing them. It's good you can help your granddaughter. I remember when not too long ago people were discouraged from homeschooling and look how times have changed.

  15. Such a great quilt! It's so welcoming that it is just crying out for someone to cuddle it. I love that there are no "light" squares in it; it gives it an usual appeal. The blocks look perfect for using up scraps too. Thanks for sharing it.
