I just started making these HRTs last month from 4.5 inch scraps.
I also started making Fractured Rails blocks from 4.5 inch scraps in the color of the month mixed with a tone on tone in a complementary color..
These blocks I make from 1.5 or 2.5 inch scraps. The little pieces are 1.5 x 2.5.
Love your green coins.

It was a busy month! Lots of blocks, all of them are pretty quilt-to-be ;)
ReplyDeleteCute stuff and great ideas, as always!
ReplyDeleteI love scrappy and these tops are inspirational. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI like your HRTs and fractured rails! They look like great ideas for smaller pieces.
ReplyDeleteHRT's in green are super cute, little a paddock of Christmas trees!
ReplyDeleteLook at the different ways you're using greens!
ReplyDeleteI like how you make units and then later figure out the design whole.
Wonderful inspiration here.
Have you seen Jen Kingwell's Flutterby quilt? (It's in Quilt Lovely) It uses those HRTs to good effect! (That's another of the quilts in my queue. In the top 150, anyway, which makes it closer to the top than to the bottom of the list...)
ReplyDeleteNice scrappy GREEN sewing this week for the RSC!!
ReplyDeleteI love them all! Makes me want to get out my green scrap bag!!!
ReplyDeleteAre your Fractured Rails from the Kathy Doughty book? I just got the book recently and made some sample blocks - easier than I had thought. I might make my nephew a quilt with that pattern soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's a whole bunch of pretties. And inspiration :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of Scrappy blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour green scraps fit perfectly in there. LOVE those green spiders (I see you have more than one.) I could have used those in this month's Block Lotto fun. Great scrappy projects here! Way
