This month's Rainbow Scrap Challenge color is red. So I dug into my 3.5 inch scraps and made some six inch red bow tie blocks.
And when those were finished I noticed I only needed seven more blocks to reach my total of 224. So I dug into the orange 3.5 inch scraps and made those seven.
Finally! After a couple of years of making these blocks from the 3.5 inch scrap bin there are enough of them....
...to start assembling a quilt.
Great blocks--I love bowties!
ReplyDeleteHooray for having enough to make a top!!!
ReplyDeleteInch by inch, anything's a cinch! Congrats on keeping at it!
ReplyDeleteI love watching how you build up your stacks of RSC blocks, month by month, year by year and then there's enough for another colourful Cathy-style quilt. Excellent 😊
ReplyDeleteYAY! You and I are on the same page with our bow ties (I may just finish up my orange ones and get busy on assembly, too). And Diann is right there sewing bow ties with us. Just remind me next time to sew with 3.5” square instead of 2.5”, LOL. your blocks are lovely!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! on arriving at Quilt Top Construction phase!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. It's hard to keep moving on these long-term projects. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteYay! Ready for top assembly!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Can't wait to see the together. Scrap quilts are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLook at you go! I finished my bowtie blocks weeks ago and they are still in a stack. Can't wait to see your layout!
