Salsa Dancing
72 x 90
It's a flimsy!
When finished it will replace the tattered quilt my hubby keeps on the back of his recliner and evidently uses frequently. He loves salsa and grows most of the ingredients for it - peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, onions. I had most of those ingredients in my stash as well as a few chips.
I finished the blocks and assembled the top.
At the end of the month I'll link up to Elm Street Quilts OMG.
I thought I should try to get my goal accomplished since I'll be gone for a week.
Oh he will love this one!! Nice work with all those goodies...;))) Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThat's so much fun, Cathy! Perfect for your hubby, and I bet he will love it!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed watching this quilt grow...... and now it's already a flimsy! So colourful with so many interesting fabrics to look at. I'm sure your husband will love it.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern and your colorful interpretation! Sooo much fun to look at!
ReplyDeleteOh Cathy, that is so awesome! I’m sure you could finish this top, finish two others, rotate the tires with one hand tied behind your back and STILL have a week to spare! Have fun on your vacay!!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in this one. And the fabrics are a kick!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
This has to be one of my favorite quilts to see online ever!! I am a huge chips and salsa fan and this quilt is so much fun! I have been following your progress on it and the completed top does not disappoint. It is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt, and a great gift ;)
ReplyDeleteAll my favorite colors and one of our favorite foods! How could I not love this quilt?!
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are so much fun, very interesting fabrics and it makes me remember of Pizza.
ReplyDeleteA great pattern, and I love your fun version of it too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special quilt this has turned out to be! I love it, and the resulting stars in the pattern are a definite added attraction. Great job! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteKinda like a salad spinner! The colors are wonderful and the fabrics are lively.
ReplyDeleteYou may call it Salsa, and as I looked at the close shots I understood. But as soon as I saw the food, a song came to mind "When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore"
ReplyDeleteNow I'm going to have to find some pizza topping fabric and make the crusts a tan color....
Looking zesty and tasty! I hope your travel is for something fun and interesting. Have a good trip!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and colorful quilt! I cannot imagine anyone not liking it.
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous... you're such an overachiever! LOL
