Spoolin' Around

This month my OMG (One Monthly Goal) is to get 783 - 3 inch spools assembled into a quilt top 81 x 87.    If I get it completely finished that will be a bonus (or my Dec. OMG goal).

I started making a few of these each month in 2014 (or was it 2013? I think 2013. ) as a Rainbow Scrap Challenge Project after I saw Kathy of Kathy's Quilts making them.   Funny thing...Kathy is  working on getting her spools assembled this month too.   We are using the same block but making quilts that will look very different when finished.  But oh the scraps we have used!

  2. Ooh, I do love spools! I made one spool quilt about two years ago, and when I can't decide what to sew, I'm tempted to start more. Yours look beautiful.

  7. You Spool Girls are so ambitious! I know your quilt will be gorgeous riot of color. And I am so impressed with your sticktoit-iveness. Tiny scraps to a quilt - like a phoenix rising up out of the ashes!!

  9. So many pretty spools! Love how one single block can make such completely different quilts. This block is on my someday list.... maybe next year's challenge? Good luck meeting your goals.

Between seeing yours and Kathy's, I might end up with some spools before the year is out. Because of course I needed another project...
