Chevrons

I used some 4.5 scraps this month to make HSTs and then made the HSTs into 16 inch chevron blocks.  I've been making these as an RSC project when I have had 4.5 scraps since August 2014.

I assembled all of the rows so far into a quilt top.
I have orange/yellow, green, blue/indigo, violet rows.
I'm just missing the top row of red now and I'll have a flimsy 64 x 80.

Got scraps?

  6. Oh, that is pretty! And such a good idea for those smaller pieces. I'm going to start keeping an eye out for pieces that are about 4.5 inch squares!

  7. What a GREAT project -- one of the prettiest chevron quilt tops I've seen (it has rainbows and color blocks and HSTs and . . . )

  16. Do I have scraps? Haha if you ask my husband then the basement is a hoarders dream come true. I don't think it is that bad at all. I am trying to use them now to make blocks and quilts- so far I cannot say the piles get smaller. Must be some sort of quilting magic. Love the quilt and will tackle the HST soon. Wish me luck :-)

Hm, i think I need some low volume white fabric haha.
