Sister's Choice

I finished the last 14 out of the 49 Sister's Choice blocks I need for a quilt.
These are 10 inch blocks in civil war reproductions.

And, yes, I see two HSTs that are in the wrong spot.  I won't tell if you won't.

  1. I'm eager to see how you decide to set these, Cathy. I like your choice of colors and ranges.

  2. I made a sister's choice quilt and love the design (I see your two HSTs and I think they're charming, just the way they are).

  6. Okay, there are two HST's that are "differently paired" but they are right side up and in the correct position for the block. The odd man out of the fabrics is just what Barbara Brackman teaches us to do to recreate the feel of an authentic 1800's quilter. So there!

  7. Little triangles can be so sneaky...
Love your blocks and can't wait to see the quilt.

  8. They add to the charm! My sister made these blocks in clear solids. Always fun to see how different blocks can look with different fabrics..

  9. I had to really study the blocks to find those non matching triangles! The blocks look great, do you sash in between them or sew them together as is?

  11. I had to look pretty hard to find them. If you hadn't said they were there, I'd never have noticed. =) This is my all-time favorite block, and I love it in these colors. Thanks for sharing!
