The block of the month at Block Lotto is what Sophie calls "Stars with Made Fabric".
Crumbs..."made fabric"...it's all the same thing.
Now that I've made these nine inch blocks using the Tri-Rec ruler I've had in my drawer and used only once before, I think I will make some 18 inch stars using the 6.5 inch pile of crumb blocks I've had sitting around here in a box waiting for inspiration to strike.
Yes, I think some 18 inch stars with crumb centers will make some quick, easy and nice donation quilts.
Way to use up fabric.
ReplyDeleteMy fav colour is green so loving these! It is fun to use these rulers we've been stashing for ages. It seems we are more courageous with our scraps so that is another great reason to use them. Thanks for linking up with #scraptastictuesday and looking forward to those next blocks!
ReplyDeleteLove these stars!!!!
ReplyDeleteI also learned the concept as "crumb piecing" ... but it seems to have been replaced by "made fabric." Your stars look great!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty crumb stars!
ReplyDeleteLove your made/crumb fabric stars. Don't use my Tri-recs ruler much but apparently I NEED to!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! Your mind is just so creative!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT idea! I have a collection of tiny blocks that are made of even tinier scraps and have been searching for a good way to use them. Problem solved.
ReplyDeleteLoving the crumb centers in these! Looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe crumbs do a lot for those stars!
