I finished up the last four 16 inch Depression Blocks I needed...
...to complete a flimsy 80 x 80 - 25 blocks consisting of 16 - 4.5 inch HSTs.
That's 400 scrappy HSTs!
That's 400 scrappy HSTs!
I finished a flimsy and it's Friday so going over to Finish it Up Friday at Crazy Mom Quilts.
And soon I think this WIP will soon be gone so heading on over to link up with
WIPs Be Gone at A Quilting Readers Garden.
And, as someone suggested in comments...linking up to:
Oh, Scrap (at Quilting is More Fun than Housework)
And finally, to completely finish this up with some quilting and binding will be my
February goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes.

Love scrappy quilts, and yours is so bright and happy! You should link up on Sunday with Cynthia for Oh Scrap! at Quilting is More Fun than Housework! 1/2 square triangles are so versatile, aren't they? Love the name of your blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt. Fabulous use of scraps!!
ReplyDeleteDouble WHOOP! That's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI say Whoop Whoop! Great quilt!! It can almost be an "I spy" quilt. I see stars, flags, peace signs, suns, sheep, leaves, birdcages.... :)
ReplyDeleteI love scrappy, isn't it amazing all the different settings one can use 1/2 sq. tri's for.

ReplyDeleteWhoop Whoop! You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteI love the depression block. I have several made, but never made enough to put together into a quilt. I may have to remedy that after seeing your beauty.
ReplyDeleteI love depression blocks, and yours are not at all depressing. ;) In fact, it makes me want to find my UFO and finish it too.
ReplyDeleteTruly spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI came from WIPs Be Gone - thanks for not having an embedded comment box. If you did, I couldn't tell you what a fabulous finish that is! I love it. I'm a scrappy quilter and I haven't made this one. I have some extra HST from some project or other. I will have to make more!

ReplyDeleteLovely! and nice to see this block made with scrappy low volume fabrics too! Linda
ReplyDeleteI, too, love all the things that can be done with HSTs! This one is great! I'm putting it on my list! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite scrap patterns! And yours is looking good. 400 HSTs sounds daunting, but I plan to make this pattern someday. My main delay is waiting till I have enough of the light scraps. For some reason medium and dark pile up faster.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing on Oh Scrap! I am glad someone pointed you to the link party. What a great quilt top!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous scrappy quilt! I like the setting and blocks I might have to add it to my inspiration page. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDelete400 HSTS? That gets my Whoop, WhooP!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to WIps Be Gone - that's what we like to see: gone wips, LOL.
What a lovely design! I love scrap quilts so much. I'm really loving the bright colors in this. Gorgeous!!
