I have a lot of garden themed fabrics. And I have a lot of large flowered fabrics. Oh, and it looks like I have some birds and some bees. Those are garden themed aren't they?
What to do? What to do?
Hmmmm....I guess I like this. I guess I'll continue on.
This is "House Party" from Adding Layers by Kathy Doughty.
But the "House Party" quilt has some (what I would consider very ugly- very, very, very ugly) applique in the borders. Yuck! . My quilt won't have that. No. No. No. BUT I might try some broderie perse applique instead in the borders and use some of that large flower print fabric I was talking about (or make more blocks and not have a border at all).
Well, anyway...it's fun to think of a garden party now that it's cold.
Surprise! Another new WIP.

ReplyDeleteYour quilt is going to look great. You have so much fun fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love to visit you here for all the very bright pretty colors, then I go home to my blog with it's drab Civil War themes that I love so much. Does that make me a schizophrenic quilter??? Nevermind, I promise not to hurt myself or others, LOL!!!
