A few minutes after she went into the guest bedroom to get settled in, she came out carrying a quilt and was almost in tears.
I had pulled out the butterfly quilt that I keep in the closet and put it on the bed. I knew it was old, but I hadn't realized HOW old.
She was in tears because she thought it had been lost. Her Great-Grandma had made it. The quilt is somewhere around 100 years old. What a great slow-stitch Sunday project. Maybe you could treat a 4-patch of those gingham checks as one for stitching. It would still be pretty tiny (1/4 inch) but twice as large as you have now. sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13408822963659450038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697842410896958739.post-1627184813597070632014-01-05T10:45:20.136-06:002014-01-05T10:45:20.136-06:00You have been busy - great projects! You have been busy - great projects!Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14826354433338717185noreply@blogger.com
