CELEBRATE! (my word of the year)
Feb. 23 - I said in yesterday's blog post that I was celebrating early in the day with the Dawn Chorus. But I also celebrated later in the day when I received a beautiful handmade Valentine card in the mail from Linda, an amazing and very thoughtful lady who blogs at Art in Search.
you sure are going through your red fabric!
ReplyDeleteLove how the mood changes with the dark backgrounds compared to the light backgrounds! Those Twilight Flock blocks will make a neat quilt, and also the ones from the CT catalogue. That's a lovely and thoughtful card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flying geese and monkey wrench blocks, love that you took inspiration from Connecting threads.
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks--love that Twilight Flock--very nice choices for colors...
ReplyDeletehugs, Julierose
Unexpected personal mail is always worth celebrating.
ReplyDeleteI love those Twilight Flock blocks. All your blocks are pretty. Some have prints that I also have. It's fun to spot them out. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteNice job working through these RED scraps, Cathy!!
ReplyDeleteTwilight Flock is going to be a beauty. Red and black are nice together. Great variety of red fabrics and blocks. Unexpected mail is always heart warming.
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely been celebrating red with all your projects, and those small size scraps are unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteWow, those reds are impressive. You really have a good collection of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThe reds are so different depending on what fabric you put with it and the shape of the pieces, amazing possibilities. I am sorry the card was late, but relieved that I got them all out. Glad USPS did its job.
