In The Hoop: Which Way to the Chocolate?

I started big stitching on "Which Way to the Chocolate" last night.
I'll use a variety of different chocolate colored threads on it.

I'm using threads from my stash. Looks like I need to improve on my thread management skills.

I'm going to sit next to the wood burning stove on this cold wintery Slow Sunday Stitching day and enjoy some slow stitching with some other folks in a virtual sewing bee.

I love big stitching with perle cotton! You have a great stash of browns. May I suggest an old egg carton for storage of them? I saw it several years ago on a blog and tried it myself and love it--plus it is free. Good luck!

You have such a great thread stash. I am sure you will have just the right shade of brown. Storing thread without tangling can be tricky. Wish I had a great suggestion. I have a rack with posts that hangs on the wall, but it does take up space.

My floss ends up looking just like your thread stash! I have a rack for my spools, so they stay out of the jumble. Have fun stitching on your "Which Way to the Chocolate" piece today and stay warm! :)

With all that chocolate, you're going to be awfully hungry by the end of the day...

Oh another wonderful quilt full of wonderful themed fabrics. We used to have a wood burner when i was growing up so toasty there. Have fun stitching today.

Cute project! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to lose control of the threads!

I never did get a fire going today - I had a sinus headache part of the day and burning a wood fire makes it worse for me - allergies I'm sure it was a chilly day here too - I too sometimes needs to think of organizing thread better

You have a lot of great thread to choose from!

This perle cotton always makes me want to start hand quilting again. Very seductive! ;-)
But I'm holding out until I finish my oldest UFO - needs lots more quilting.

Glad to see both you and Tanya big stitching, it's helping inspire me for my own project. That's a good stash of threads so this should be fun stitching! Love the fabrics used for the geese going to check out the other project they came from.

The perfect project for winter nights - and I'm glad your threads look like that too.
